Villa Olimpia - Gruppo Stay

Great place for a stay in Cortina. Everything great quality. No complaints

Unfortunately some rubbish was left outside the flat and it smelt quite bad. We tried to put it in some nearby bins and it reappeared on the door step. The only downside to the stay. I’m sure it’s a once off.

Right next to the center and the walking area 3 bathrooms

Located right on the busiest road of Cortina! Constant motor traffic and noise. NO CURTAINS in the bedrooms! You wake up with the sunlight. Impractical parking: you cannot park right by the apartment: Parking is 200m away, but its worse: because of Cortina's one way traffic loop, you have to drive around the entire center of Cortina for several minutes to bring the car to the apartment. Dark, claustrophobic feel : One floor is actually totally underground! the windows look onto walls. The apartment is very dark. You can have a "view" from the 2 windows in the living room, and the view is a construction site. Very badly furnished: -Not enough chairs for 6 people ! 3 chairs and a small bench that wobbles -No bowls -Only one wine glass -Very limited cutlery The apartment is completely empty: This is the first apartment rental we find with not even salt or pepper or oil in the kitchen. There was just one little soap bar and one little single-use shampoo bag per person for our 3-night stay, which felt pretty cheap. Impractical check-in: you have to check in at a hotel in the center, where it is very difficult to park.

The staff at Hotel Aquila are lovely, incredibly friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and cozy - a lovely combination of modern and classic Alpine home.

the free shuttle bus was the reason we booked the overnight room before a long flight home. It was a value added benefit on top of a lovely nights sleep.
