Casa Archi - Balcone sul Fiume

The area around was thriving, which unfortunately we didn't realise until the last evening, was filled with bars and restaurants which were great, san zeno piazzole. Having breakfast on the balcony. There were wardrobes up stairs which we chose not to use. Really close and lovely walk along the river to verona centre. Very secure. Easy to catch bus to the station. If you want to go to garda, don't follow Google Maps as the bus doesn't stop where it says. Go to the tourist office or download a timetable. We got a verona card over 2 days, which was well worth it. We ate in and cooked from the local shop, which was great one night Pizzeria across the road was great. Osteria on the next road was lovely. The risotto aramone was amazing. All in all, a great stay!!

Unfortunately, unable to enjoy the balcony at night due to the mosquitoes. No one's fault. Also meant I couldn't shut the blinds, not necessarily a bad thing as we were woken up early to enjoy verona:). The stairs at night, if you wanted to go to the bathroom, felt a bit precarious. We just kept the bathroom light on. The height of the ceilings in thr bedroom wasn't very high, not a problem for us as my husband is only 5ft 9in.

This is a lovely little apartment in Verona. It was warm and cosy on our arrival and stayed warm for our whole stay. It’s right by the river and you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the views. The bed was comfy and the apartment was quiet so we slept really well. Communication with the owner was excellent and she provided brilliant instructions for the self check in (which we always prefer). I would recommend the car park on offer for €10 per day. It’s really convenient so made unloading luggage to apartment very easy and it’s behind a locked gate. The apartment is in a great location for exploring Verona and it’s close to lots of bars and restaurants. We’re already looking forward to our return

We liked everything

It was a beautiful old building in a beautiful city. Good communication from the owner. Close to the centre and a little supermarket and great bakery round the corner if your cooking yourself

the location and view from the small balcony are superb. Paola was a great host and very helpful. Easy walk to historic Centre and closer still the heart of San Zeno great for bars & restaurants.

The mezzanine bed is a bit difficult and low height, you just have to be more careful.
