Characterful, comfortable, decent beds, well equipped with a good aircon, clean and the staff were outstandingly helpful, including for recommendations during the stay for restaurants and beach. Cute little shower room. Friendly neighbours, the sounds of guitar wafting over the evening air and happy family life

The property was lovely, a very minor thing to be aware of (which is not its fault given you go to Ostuni because it is a beautiful medieval little town) is that the free parking tends to be on very narrow streets which might be stressful if you have a big hire car - and it’s difficult to find free space, whilst the payable parking whilst close by adds up as it is payable until 2am. Yes there is no WiFi but we knew that and didn’t care; you can get a signal by the door.

The place is perfect for solo travelers or couples. And I it was so silent during the night!!! I loved it!

You have to climb many stairs to do check in, and then to go back the stairs to your apartment. If you are without car - it is terrible part and I didn’t like it at all.

Probably the only good thing about the property was the location, just a few minutes' walk away from the main piazza, as well as from the main bus stop coming from the train station. It was relatively easy - if you had a wifi connection - to talk to the property manager and to get the keys. The air conditioning was decent.

No wifi service. Even with wifi on my phone, something about the location being underground made it impossible to actually use wifi while in the property. The shower flooded every time I used it with the worse case on the second day of my stay, where water flooded out of the bathroom into the kitchen and living room area. There was no soap or shampoo or bath gel on offer. No coffee grounds even though there was a coffee machine. No extra towels, so if you want to go to the beach, good luck. Because there is no wifi service, it was difficult to communicate at all with the property manager. Prior to arriving, I knew that the train station to Ostuni was a little outside of town and that i needed to take a shuttle from the station to downtown and then walk to the property... the communication with the manager of this property did not do a great job explaining all of this. It also says that you have to pay cash, so I was prepared to do that, but a day or two before, they said I could pay by credit card, which was nice. I wish they had described that much more before. The pictures that were on the website when I booked and on my booking receipt did not match the property in real life. There are no windows in the property. It also feels a little dank, like a bit of a dungeon when you walk in, but the lighting is pretty good throughout. It is true that I booked this property with certain assumptions about the services it would have, but what made it especially frustrating is that even though there was no wifi, you can't use your own wifi even inside the property. Because of the ventilation in the space not being great, I had trouble sleeping because I need clear air circulating at night, so that wasn't great. The listing describes the property as being able to house 3 people, but where? 2 could sleep in the main bed but there weren't sheets and pillows if the 3rd person was going to sleep on the couch. Would never stay at this property again.

Location, but not worth it

It’s more of a tiny stoned cave with no natural light and a VERY strong humidity odor. No windows to freshen it up, only the street door that you’ll have to keep open while you are in the cave. Hot water lasts very little so you have to wait in between showers. No phone network coverage so you can’t even make or receive calls. Forget about internet.

Central location, stay in a typical apulian accomodation.

Hard to find a free carpark around the accomodation, they expect you to take any left over rubbish with you upon check out: this is a service that should be included into the final cleaning. If you are sensitive to lights, beware the room is a little bright

The property is on a street that is not found on Google Maps which is ok but the manager sent me 2 addresses without explaining why, which was extremely confusing. The booking expects you to go to a different address, over an hour away, to ‘register’ (which I had already done on Booking.com) in order to get the code to the key box and to pay them. I was being dropped off in Ostuni my my family with 3 very young grandchildren and this is was a crazy and unhelpful requirement as we had never visited Ostuni before and we’re not family with the town. Eventually, after hours of texting back and forth, and my feeling that I should book other accommodation for the night, it was agreed I could pay online using a Credit Card. Honestly, this is the craziest and most distressing set up and certainly a first time in my YEARS of travelling throughout Italy and the world. NEVER AGAIN.

Very very basic. No wifi which wasn’t a problem, although it is ‘normal’ everywhere I’ve ever stayed before, but I could not get a signal for my 5G inside the property.
