Casa Colbert, Barolo

What a beautiful place Barolo is and Casa Colbert is the perfect place to stay. Spacious and well equipped, we had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing week. Stay in and cook or go to one of the wonderful restaurants in Barolo. We will definitely be back!!

Comfortable, good size, the outdoor terrace was a great size, great view

Normally I try to avoid phaffing around with accommodation that is unmanned and passworded. Mainly due to previously poor experiences. But I have to say it all went very smoothly. The amount and detail of instructions were faultless. Even those for the car lift (which all gadget fans should try for Euros 10 a day: ie. us guys) were all excellent. We stayed in 'Marron' which was super. I would certainly go for the private parking offer unless you like to embrace your 'inner Scrooge'. Barolo is popular, pretty much all year round and especially over the weekend. If you think you're going to rock up and get a spot in the large, public parking area then you're clearly a practised gambler who fancies his chances. You will, of course, eventually get a spot but that's going to be at night when Barolo is emptied of tourists. I like my cars to be safely parked away from idiots who can't open doors carefully or manoeuvre without leaving you a 'parking memento'. So, 10 euros for peace of mind is worth it. The appartment's balcony afforded a great view and although it's mostly over the central car park it'll keep you endlessly amused. Plus, it's big enough to give you decent privacy. The appartment itself is very nicely designed, well built and well maintained. It's pretty hard to fault and we'd definitely use it again when in the Barolo area.

It probably needs some more restful lighting if (and it's only an 'if') you're going to spend time eating, drinking and chilling out inside. Plugs for us Brits were difficult to find: we had to adapt the plugs behind the microwave. For such a beautifully designed appartment it was (surprisingly) lacking USB ports...or we didn't look hard enough ? Only one major issue: 10.00 check-outs are unwanted when you're trying to have a relaxing holiday. I'd pay more for flexible departure. Over to you CasaColbert to provide a better service in this specific area.

the location is very central, you are in the very heart of Barolo

Nice to have :-) For rooms 1 - Turkese and 3- Porporo - I find the 2 beds are face to face to each other and lacking privacy. It is great for a young family of 4 or 2 young couples. Although the space is very small I believe an additional separations like an intelligent cabinetry would be very much appreciated in the kitchen area or at the foot of the bed.

We really loved this accomodation. The aircon worked really well and the apartment was super clean and fresh. It was located above a really awesome pizzeria. So many amazing walks between the villages and through the vineyards.

The apartment is very new and is immaculately clean. It has all essential facilities for a comfortable stay. The location is right in the centre of Barolo, perfect for strolling around touring this beautiful town. The apartment has private parking but we chose to park on the open car park right by the apartment, plenty of spaces and is free. We did not meet the hosts but they communicated very efficiently on WhatsApp and gave us all the information we would need. They also responded very swiftly to every question we asked. In the apartment are a lot of brochures that provide I formation of what one can do and see in the region, which was quite helpful.

Spacious apartment. Very well equipped. Connection with the agents were spot on. Daniela was highly helpful. Location is Top of the Pops, 15 meters from Le Vite Turchese, the best enoteca around Barolo MGA’s and 100 meters from the Castello and restaurants. 9.8⭐️ out of 10⭐️

Some people can find sharing a balcony with a pizzeria and living a top of bistrot disturbing but I liked the vibe.
