Villa Bellaria

Beautiful garden - an ideal place to relax, landscaped grounds, spacious rooms, terrace, small kitchenette, perfect location for a walk in the village, aviary with parakeets. Our host was amazing. She gave us tips on what to do and what places to visit.

We could hear our neighbors talking through the walls. Perhaps some toiletries, coffee/tea packets in the apartment would be nice additions.

Literally “room only”. No kettle or tea, glasses or cups. Wi fi didn’t work. Didn’t need air con because of time of year but imagine it could be hot in summer. Pool was covered up

This Villa has wonderful gardens, the pool is situated in a small meadow just down the hill from the villa. Giovanni was a very helpful host. The small hill town is quite spectacular to view from the Villa grounds. The room was without AC, but portable fans heplped us cool down on the hot summer days, and there is always the pool... ! Recommended for all who want to get off the beaten track a little.

Amazing views, beautiful grounds and pool area. The village is stunning but closed a lot of the time for lunch and closed Tuesdays, just check timings. we got caught out a few times.

Apartment didn’t have A/C which we were aware of but you can’t have windows open as you get all the mosquitoes in, so you have to choose between being soo hot or bitten to pieces. Kitchen was very basic, just a hob and two saucepans, no frying pan. no microwave or oven. no wine glasses only tiny tumblers, no corkscrew we had to buy one. Our toilet seat was broken so very wobbly to sit on, the other bathroom the toilet system was leaking so the floor was permanently wet . The reception area and where they do events and breakfast was lovely, just need the same sort of standards throughout. One morning i strolled out at 10am to see they serve breakfast in the main reception area, however we were never advised or told about this so not sure who that’s for, felt like special guests only. Also one evening there was a music concert and a big dinner but again the place was full of people but not really any of the guests, we weren’t aware of the dinner. The walk from the pool is quite a climb, uneven ground and up a steep hill, not suitable for everyone and not advised on booking.

The venue and the village are really beautiful

The biggest downside is the lack of mosquito nets. Without A/C we would have appreciated to be able to open the windows more freely, creating some natural ventilation. This would be an important investment for the future! For the price range a general lack of attention to details: extremely limited toiletries, no hair drier, one ventilator in 4 people. Overall the staff could help on such requests. But it would have been natural that they were just provided from the start.
