IL TOLOMEI - Central in the Middle of Main Street

The location within Siena is great. The place is very large and extremely comfortable. Very nice new construction. The showers were very nice. It has both a washer and a dryer. That is really nice and was one of the major factors in renting here. They do need to let Americans know that they have to empty the water bottle on the dryer and clean out the lint collector. Both were full when we arrived.

Well, the dishwasher wasn’t working. It really isn’t a problem we didn’t cook that much and we wash our dishes by hand at home. However, the previous people had used the dishwasher and while they looked clean, you could still see they weren’t completely clean. Well rinsed, but not clean. One iron wasn’t working but we found another one in the drawer. No bread knife? No kitchen towels. Did find paper towels in the closet. While the location is great in terms of getting to everything in Siena, it is located just a few meters down the hill from Piazza Tolomei. The piazza is full of activity at night, and people could be heard in the street below the apartment, especially late at night and early in the morning.

We stayed for the Palio and unfortunately it was postponed at the last minute due to rain. The manager was very generous and offered to extend our stay before allowing anyone else to book the apartment. He also offered us a private suite to watch the Palio. I appreciated having a chance to experience this wonderful apartment.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable. I loved the modern renovation on the apartment and the building. There’s an elevator from the lobby, and it’s beautifully decorated with design furnishings and homey touches. There are two full bathrooms with sizable shower stalls and a washer for your laundry. The kitchen has everything you need, including a full sized refrigerator and dishwasher. This is probably one of the nicer apartments in Siena and you can’t beat the location. It’s convenient to everything you want to do in the city and just a few minutes walk from the Piazza del Campo. Thanks to the Apartment Siena team! They were always available to help with anything we needed and very responsive. I would definitely book Il Tolomei again.

Location is perfect. 2 minutes from the piazza. Top floor but has a lift/elevator.

This place needs a bit of TLC it should be a 10, but falls short because of lack of maintenance. Sofa bed is not comfortable.

It was just perfect and Amazing, couldn’t expect anything more, beyond my expectations, luxurious apartment, in the middle of city centre . Felt really safe, provided with a lift that was really helpful for my elderly parents, and Caterina was just so charming and welcoming. 100 point. I I know exactly where to stay next I’ll visit Siena

Even though there is a dishwasher, the cutlery was dirty.

It was great located, has lift and it’s pretty big . The view is was nice and beautiful!

It was not very clean in the bathrooms and moka was dirty too unfortunately . I think it’s possible to make self check in with the key in the locker and not ask people for extra charges.

Really central flat, with good kitchen equipments

The windows are not sound proof and the noise from the street is really loud (as it is next to the main street of the city). It was specially hard saturday night, with the sound from people talking lound on the streets till 3 am reverberated up till the appartement in the 3rd floor. Sunday to monday was less noisy and easier to sleep.
