Fisherman House - Sorrento Coast

Location, location, location!!! 5-7 mins walk from the center of Sorrento but in the middle of buzzy Marina Grande bay. Very nice beach club is just in the front of apartment. Absolutely stunning view from the balcony. Parking at 20eur/day is around the corner. The lady that met me to give keys was very friendly. The family run resto “Fishmen Marina Porta” downstairs is highly recommended with super nice and charming staff.

The apartment really needs some maintenance, it’s pretty shabby, all furniture is old, some chairs are broken, no shower gel/shampoo, no table in the balcony, bathroom is very very small, can’t say that that the kitchen/plates ect were very clean, pretty steep stairs in the building - so it’s a real issue for older people and big luggage. it was terribly noisy at all mornings, from garbage cars, neighbors ect - not a fault of owners but smth to be aware of. The second “bedroom” is like a little bunker, with tiny window only.

Location location location! This has got to be one of the best spots to stay in Sorrento. We loved the buzz of being directly on the marina, there was always so much to watch from the balcony, and despite the restaurants directly underneath we weren't bothered by any noise at all. The views of the bay and Vesuvius are absolutely amazing. We also enjoyed meeting the friendly next door neighbours. The apartment is spacious and quite basically furnished, the aircon in the main bedroom was very welcome. Worth mentioning there are several flights of steep stairs to access it which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues.

I liked very much the location. Is very closed to center and port and you have nice view on beach. The apartment is big and spacious. If you like the beach spirit and agitation is the perfect place, if you want silent place don't book here.

I didn't like the furniture in the kitchen, very old with musty/mold smell with a lot of ants. The bathroom is very small with mold. The apartment is located on top of some restaurants and until midnight is a lot of noice and smell of fried fish, you cannot sleep with the window opened. In the same time close to the apartment is a technical room with an washing machine that wash the tablecloths of the restaurants almost all night and this machine is doing a big noise.
