Tourist House La Castellana

The apartment was very very comfortable, centrally located and has the kindest and most welcoming hosts. It’s very spacious, well lit, comfortably furnished, 5 minute walk to Duomo, surrounded by excellent restaurants. Franco and Nicoletta are exceptional hosts and have thought of every convenience for their guests. Anything a guest may want or need in the apartment was provided and then some. Water, fruit, every little household supply such as detergent or paper goods, coffee pods (excellent quality), spices, etc. Franco and Nicoletta are the best feature of the apartment - meeting them was a highlight. They picked us up from the airport on arrival and gave us a ride and helped buy a bus ticket on departure, among many other kind gestures. I can’t say enough great things about our experience!

Great apartment to stay in. The apartment has absolutely everything you need. Wonderful, kind hosts. Our plane arrived early in the morning and they allowed check-in early in the morning. They also helped us get back to the airport. I recommend this great place.

Everything was very good. The flat is located in central area! Was clean and i had a good time there.

The apt is immaculately clean & spacious. Well equipped kitchen. A great desk for remote laptop work. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of closet space. Very good lighting throughout the apt. Walkability is a 10 to all sites in the city.

They met us at the railway station and showed us around the apartment. There was bottled water, fruit and snacks. It was a short walk to the town centre, with a bakery downstairs. Very clean and a well equiped kitchen.

Franco and Nicoletta were wonderful hosts. They made sure I was able to get to and from the train station, bus station and airport safely and on time. They provided me all that I needed for my stay and more. The flat is enough for a small family and has all the comforts of home. There is a well appointed kitchen, two toilets and a bath. The washing machine was a big help. The big street at the corner of the flat, Via Plebiscito, is well lit and safe at night. The flat is very close to the castelo and the fish market and the duomo. I could walk everywhere. There were a couple of minimarkets close by. My deepest thanks to Franco and Nicoletta.

Nicoletta and Franco are such lovely and excellent hosts! They even organised transport to and from the airport. The apartment is in a brilliant location with most tourist sites including the famous fish market within a 5 minute walk and some of the furthest monuments being just 20 mins. The beach is also a 5 minute ride away by taxi or bus. It is also just a few minutes from the bus and train station making further transport super easy. In the street beneath the apartment are bakeries, mini market, cafes and more. The apartment is lovely and much nicer than the images with very spacious living room and bedrooms as well as the kitchen being stocked with all the essential cutlery and seasonings. Overall a 10/10 place would definitely recommend!

Lighting going into the apartment quite dark

The apartment was very nice, clean, would easily accommodate a bigger group. The kitchen has quite well equipped to be able to cook. There were lots of shops/food places close by. A short walk to the market and into the centre. There was a separate desk to work on and the WIFI was good. There is constant noise from the outside but it's not too bad and at night it was actually quite quiet. The hosts were really nice, easy to communicate with and very helpful.

For someone who worked there most days the place was too dark, even with the lamp provided. A surprise cleaning fee was added because I was staying a month/long term. This was not announced anywhere and it was basically mandatory, otherwise no linen or towels were provided to be used for the whole month. The beds in both rooms were singles put together, not double.
