Atrani House-AMALFI Sea View

Awesome rooftop terrace with sea view!

Finding the place was very challenging!

This property is quite honestly depressing. The interior is as old as Atrani is on the outside. It is also not as described in the property description. The property is advertised as with “sea views”. There are no sea views from Atrani House. There are sea views from the shared terrace which is 2 levels of steep stairs above Atrani House. There are other areas not as described. There is no oven, no bath robes. Not included in the description, but there is also no toaster. I have never ever stayed in a “self contained “ property with no toaster. We found the furnishings to be old (including spongy bed & linen) & cleanliness is suspect. If I were to return to Amalfi Coast, I may choose to return to Atrani but definitely not to Atrani House. There are many stairs up once you reach the base so Atrani House is definitely not a walkable option from Atrani Port with luggage. The “kitchen” is also not fit for purpose to cook a meal. The only time that the host checked in on us was to ask what time we were leaving ! As owners of an Air BnB property ourselves we operate very differently. We communicate with our guests to check that all is ok & we also provide numerous complimentary amenities which go beyond our guests expectations. Italy (and Atrani House in particular) operate very differently. I am a little bewildered (and suspicious) of some of the positive reviews that I have read.

Location- Close to the beach with great views from the kitchen and shared balcony. There were coffees/teas and basic cooking essentials which tops it for traveller like me - 10/10

Location was great and it was clean.

WiFi was terrible,I’ve seen this on other reviews and it’s still the same. You get 10 mins worth of hot water,there is an beautiful big bath but you can’t use it as it fills up to a puddle before the hot water runs out, I messaged the owner to say this to which “it is not possible” “check switch” I told them switch was on, I then got ignored.

Beautiful rooftop view, Atrani was a perfect place to stay, only 10min walk from Amalfi but away from the crowds. The apartment is not too far from the beach, we easily walked from the Amalfi ferry through the tunnel to Atrani with our luggage.
