Casa Cavallotti - modern apartment between Train station and Port

We have to be honest here and tell the truth. The apartment itself was adequate, However, the noise levels when trying to sleep at night were totally unacceptable. there are several restaurants playing loud music with loud patron conversations until 2:00AM Then the cleanup begins with the sound of literally hundreds,if not thousands ,of glass bottles crashing into the dumpster outside so the earliest realistically travelers can get to sleep is 3:00. a.m.. Then, the church bells ring loudly for about 3 minutes promptly at 7:00 a.m. If you can get by on 3-4 hours of sleep then it's okay. otherwise you're going to be an exhausted traveler. Also, it would have been nice if the toilet had a seat, but you had to either sit down on the ice cold porcelain or squad over it asian-toilet style. The coffee maker:there were two of them, both inoperable. As were the dishwasher and the kitchen sink with plumbing problems and a severe leak that wad not resolved throughout our 3 night stay Many of the pots and pans were on their last legs as well. The value for money proposition was still there and the price we paid was more than fair However, the problems cannot be overlooked and the owner could bring this place up to international standards with a very small outlay of money directed towards upgrading the deficiencies mentioned above.

The apartment was near many restaurants, & within walking distance to the ocean, the fort, & the train.

We arrived after dark, & when we left the train station, couldn't find any street signs. We eventually took a cab for a very short distance, just to find the way.

Great location but the apartment smelt of smoke when we arrived and we had to ask for extra towels
