Residenza Lago

Signora Lago is a wonderful host. Location, decor.

There are a couple things that could be improved for a longer stay, such as a microwave and kitchen fan. For a short stay it is perfect.

Very close to attractions, restaurants and grocery. Very clean and love the balcony to sit out for morning coffee or evening drink. Elevator to access floor with luggage and secure building. Mrs. Lia was wonderful, very friendly and showed the apartment services very well. Live the bottle of wine and water provided for our stay.

What a beautiful place and an even better location! Mrs Lago stayed awake for us to check-in late at 9 pm and although we do not speak Italian and she does not speak English, we managed to find the entrance, but then she greeted us so warmly and we found out that she speaks French like us, so we communicated the whole time in French, and what a beautiful place it was, way more vast than we expected, way more comfy, and the furniture and designs were so charming. The best part was the balcony with its old design and its amazing view. The place was not cleaned during our visit, it was more like a rental stay, it's not a hotel after all, and we did not mind. Also, whatever we needed we could ask Mrs Lago and she'd be there in 5 minutes since she lives on the upper floor. She also left us a wine bottle and a water bottle in the fridge since the start of our stay. There was an elevator and Mrs Lago made sure we get our luggage unto the elevator from the garage so we don't have to lift them on the main stairs to get to the elevator, same thing for when we left. I would book again there because the guest house is perfect and the balcony view in the morning with coffee was serene and perfect.

We love this place. It's our third time here.

The apartment is spacious and beautiful (so nice it's minimalistic and with nice art). It's very well located in Siracusa, we were walking everywhere.

All was ok.

The apartment was very clean, in a great location, 5mins walking to Ortigia and 10mins walking to the bus terminal. It has all the basic necessities and the hosts are very nice. I communicated in English with Alessia via text messages and with mrs and mr Lago f2f. Even though mrs Lago didnt understand English and I didnt understand italian we were able to understand each other :) The building itself is very clean and safe and would definitely recommend it even for a longer period of time.

The only downside is that I only stayed for 2days ☹️

No parking

It was well situated for walking everywhere. The apartment was clean, bright and airy and the furnishings were beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Our hostess was charming-despite the language barrier we had some great conversations! We were grateful for the cold water and delicious bottle of wine in the fridge. We were delighted with our stay and I especially like the quirky little lift 🙂

Maybe a few light touches needed such as salt, pepper and oil (and a spare toilet roll).

Size of the apartment. Air conditioning. Close to Ortigia, restaurants, bus stops.
