Casa Sikania

El departamento es cómodo y muy completo. La anfitriona es muy amable y está pendiente de lo que necesitas. La ubicación es perfecta si estas en auto ya que podes estacionar gratis en la calle. Podes ir caminando al casco antiguo. Muy buena opción para disfrutar de Siracusa.

The location was not too bad

Very basic ( especially bathroom), pillows really bad , the hosts omitted to warning us to close the balcony and all windows for the night because of the mosquitos (yes there was the air conditioner but we did say that we like the fresh air not knowing how bad the mosquitos are ) and we were severely bitten and one of us had developed an allergic reaction which besides the extra cost for tablets and creams spoiled our holiday . As for the " balcony" it is only half of it - the other half is occupied by air conditioner. It is steep 50 steps to claim - not recommended for elderly people . The accommodation is definitely not for a longer stay.

To cross from one side to the other I had to bend (I’m tall and I hit one part of the ceiling with my head). The bed could be more comfortable. New mattress would be welcomed

Host went above and beyond to make us comfortable. He kindly welcomed us for our late check-in and explained the apartment's facilities to us, he left coffee and some snacks for our two-day stay. The apartment is clean and located just outside Ortigia (10 minutes walk), so very convenient for those travelling by car. Relatively easy to find a public parking spot nearby. The two bedrooms are large and comfortable.

All was good. Just be aware that the apartment is on the second floor of the building with no elevator (we knew this before so no surprise here).

This place really felt like home to me immediately. The kitchen place and top floor bedroom are bigger than it seems on the picture. The neighborhood is nicely quiet at night, yet there are numerous bars and restaurants on only five minutes walking distance. 10 to 15 minutes walking to either Ortigia or the Archeological site. Communication with the owner was nice and efficient. She left water, coffee and some cookies and rolls in the apartment for the first night. For the price I payed this was simply amazing.
