El Lavandee

We had a lovely stay at El Lavandee and really enjoyed the comfort of a larger space for our family of 5, the air con, washing machine and, especially the little private beach (through the tunnel under the road). The apartment was well equipped, clean and well styled. It was 2km out of Varenna but there was a great multi story car park on the edge of Varenna which served us well. Daniela and Marco were really helpful and we loved the boat hire they suggested - 3hours on Lake Como was a highlight!

It wasn’t easy to walk anywhere as there is no walkway along the road. Worked well with our car though.

Wonderful apartment! Felt like you were actually living in Como with access to private beach. Very specious room with wonderful kitchen with a view to the lake. Very helpful owners who met us at the train station and helped during the entire stay.

Distance from the town. Hard to walk with kids because there are no sidewalks and feels a little dangerous. There are not a lot of taxis.

Lovely property and location. Wonderful hosts.

What a joy to stay in a generational family home. Facilities are spacious.

The interior was beautiful, stylish and clean. We absolutely loved the lakeside view from the kitchen, which was absolutely stunning. In terms of location, it was about 4-5 min drive from Villa Monasteri, so it made a great base for us to explore from (days we were exploring other towns, we would park at the car park opposite Villa Monasteri, and take the ferry which was c.7 min walk from Villa Monasteri). It goes without saying, the hosts, Marco and Daniela, were also amazing and really friendly.

Everything - the view on the lake from the balcony and from the large window of the kitchen is priceless. The equipments are great (comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen). The hosts were very welcoming (they offered a bottle a Prosecco at arrival and a nice poster of Varenna at departure) and made everything easy for us (they drove us from and to the train station). On top of this, Varenna is the most beautiful village out of the triangle (including Bellagio which is by far more touristy) and the view from the Castello Di Vezio is just something else. Would definitely recommend El Lavandee!

Loved this beautiful home. The hosts Daniela e Marco are incredible, very hospitable and welcoming. The property is beautiful, close to Varenna and with a private beach. Loved the decor of the home and the space there.

The apartment was modern, clean and well equipped. There was access to a small private beach too. All details had been considered by the hosts, who provided a friendly welcome. It was a great base to explore the area.

We travelled by train and it was quite a walk to Varenna for the nearest shops, ferry and train station. We found some good pathways to follow and got a little fitter, which justified a gelato or two! The apartment has a parking space for guests.
