Grotta Gea Luxury Home con Piscina & Spa

This home was stunning. A beautiful renovation of an old cave home, providing every modern convenience while keeping the ancient details that matter. The view over the Sassi Caveoso from just around the corner is breathtaking. I literally got goosebumps. Marco, our host, was fantastic. His restaurant recommendations were so good that we kept going back to him for more. The location of this property is great. It is in the Sassi district, but close enough to the edge to drop luggage just a few meters away, with no stairs. There is also an excellent garage just a few minutes walk up the hill that is reasonably priced. The pool built into the cistern is amazing, and way bigger than we ever imagined.

We do wish the pool had been a bit warmer. It was just a couple degrees too cool for us Floridians to fully enjoy.

We loved our stay here, the cave is spacious and very comfortable, in a perfect location for exploring Matera. Our kids loved the pool. Marco was an excellent host - responsive and giving us lots of recommendations of the area. Great to get a cafe to go to for breakfast. It’s a very unique and memorable stay

Это полноценный гостиничный номер, преобразованный из пещеры «sassi». Просторное помещение с полным набором удобств и джакузи. Отличное расположение прямо в историческом центре города. Завтрак в кафе, которое находится в 5 минутах. Рядом рестораны с локальной едой.

O quarto era imenso! A piscina particular era enorme! Gruta toda reformada, bem equipada, bem climatizada. Decoração muito interessante! A localização era espetacular. Fomos recebidos com espumante de boas vindas. Toalhas novas e de ótima qualidade. Marcos, o anfitrião, nos recebeu muito bem! Ele nos contou várias curiosidades sobre a história da gruta em que nos hospedamos e nos deu muitas dicas boas de restaurantes.

Não há serviço de quarto. Em cima da porta principal há uma pequena janela que não tem cortina e deixa entrar claridade pela manhã.

All I would say is because it’s a cave & there is a hot tub there is a dampness however it is really clean & you have to remember it is a cave , it’s very well kept , loved it! We all did , worth every penny!

Absolutely stunning … great location, spotlessly clean and so unique . Marco our host was absolutely amazing so helpful and full of information . We will definitely stay here again

The humidity was quite damp in the accommodation from the pool so all our clothes felt damp after just one day
