Gabriele was a very helpful and available host, and very kind to let us check in earlier. The location was great for those driving. There is an underground private parking lot very close. The apartment is just outside the ZTL and at a very comfortable walking distance from every place we wanted to go. The street was calm, but the windows were also very good with sound isolation. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a water pressure pump, which was nice - we were told in Palermo the water pressure would be low, so we were pleasantly surprised.

There were a few minor cleanliness issues, especially in the kitchen, where the extractor hood filters smelled a bit of built-up grease. The shower was a bit worn out and could do with some maintenance.

The location was great, and very central right next to Teatro Massimo. The room was surprisingly quiet considering the location, and the bed was large and comfy. The apartment was very spacious, and the host gabriele was friendly and communicative.

The apartment is pretty basic (note- it's definitely an apartment rather than an 'aparthotel', in a residential building and no reception desk etc.). Shower was very small and and shower head didn't stay up, so you have to hold it to wash your hair. Not massive issues for us, but I expected slightly more given the previous reviews. No toilet paper on arrival, so had to go out and find a shop straight away- worth noting if arriving late when shops will be shut.

Water in the bathroom makes a loud noise when using water to wash hands, shower, etc.
