The apartment was in the old town in Ortigia. It was very clean, with everything you could need. It had an amazing terrace and also a balcony.

Lovely apartment right in the heart of old town. Beautiful decor, fabulous views from the terraces, spacious and powerful shower, comfortable bed and pillows, close to supermarket and huge selection of restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return soon.

Really lovely decor - with two balconies - a small one and much larger one upstairs

It’s a hazard of old cities - view and old buildings, just know you have 4 flights of stairs. The kitchen is separate floor from bedroom - one more floor up. But great exercise…just don’t forget things when you go out 😎 also good to know if mobility issues

"A tiny palace in the sky."

The terraces ...both of them, the top one with the sea and sun and Etna in the distance. Furnishings and paintings and decor, like a tiny palace. The well equiped kitchen. A good coffee machine. Immediate responses to queries from the mystery host on WhatsApp... including dropping off a bedcover.

Not seeing a host. The interior stairs light going off to pitch blackness as you are halfway up at night time. No blanket ( yes I know its usually very hot) HOWEVER mystery host brought me one next morning.

"If we return to ortigia we would only stay here."

Can’t beat the location right in the centre of the island. Everything in easy walking distance. Supermarket round the corner. Laundrette only a 3-4 min walk Terrace is incredibly private as you are on the top floor of a building slight higher than those surrounding it. Not overlooked by anything else. Other reviews mentioned poor water pressure. This has been rectified and the water pressure is amazing.

In fixing the water pressure it appears a pump has been installed for the whole building. This causes some noise when anyone is using the water, with quite a screech hears from inside the apartment. Did not bother us as people tends to only use water through the day
