This is a beautiful location, but the apartment is falsely advertised.

Everyone out there needs to be warned about Appartamento delle Erbe in Padova which is falsely advertised, and about Bookings.com, which allows the owner to cheat customers. First, the ad on Bookings.com claims that the flat is on the second story, when in fact it takes seven long sets of stairs to get there. Second, the ad claims that there is sleeping room for two. When my friend and I, both 70-year-old women, arrived we found only one full size bed, and a small couch, which had no sheets. The owner knew we were not a couple since we had communicated with her in advance with our passports, and, yet, she expected us to share that one bed but never communicated this to us in advance. The minute we got to the flat, we knew it was unacceptable and so texted, only to get the cleaning lady Chiara who put us in touch with the owner Sara. The owner was rude and completely irresponsible, making no effort to help us. We had to book a hotel at the last minute since the place was totally unacceptable. When I contacted Bookings.com on June 7, the day after this fiasco, they said they would try to get me reimbursed, and at first claimed I would get half my money back. After two months of my repeatedly contacting Bookings.com for help, a customer representative told me that there will be no reimbursement at all—even though we did not stay there one night. I will never use Bookings.com. If you are staying in Padova, book a hotel to be safe, where at the very least you can get your reservation reimbursed if you do not stay there.
