Gojyo Ivy

Great personel, the old person who did my check in, spoke a little bit of english and was super nice and explained everything for me. I stayed in multiple places in Japan but this one was really super clean ! They gave me everything needed in the kitchen. Honestly it was a good value for the stay specially that it was near the bus station.

No elevator and small steps, when you arrive you need to go to the 4 th floor to call the staff so they give you your room number. I had 2 big suitcase and it was painful to get them to the 4th floor and back to the 3rd floor were I stayed specially that the stairs are really small.

- The location made it easy to access all Kyoto with buses or by train. You are also in between two shrines who sings and rings the bell in the afternoon / lunch time. - the bed was nice and I liked to have both a table and a working table. - They provide you a book with lots of informations lile buses times tables, which bus to take to reach a specific area/attraction. - they provide umbrellas

- Bathroom is really small, if you are higher than 1.90m you won't be able to stand in the shower. - Same for the kitchen, really small - They don't provide a towel, but you can buy one in a 100y shop

It was very homey, it had a smoking area and washing machines on the fourth floor, the location is also amazing and close to a beautiful temple!

No towels and detergent but the working lady gave us an extra hand towel which helped a ton and solved the towel problem.
