Old Riga Jekaba street Apartment

The apartment was nice, modern, cozy and clean. The location was amazing. It was literally a few minutes walk away from restaurants, supermarkets and the Christmas market. Extremely practical for families!

The steps going up to the apartment are extremely dangerous and so scary. There was a very weird smell in the bathroom at all times.

Very spacious, comfortable bed, clean. Washing machine available and even washing liquid available. Responses from the host in 1h time frame. Easy access even need to use 3codes to get trough 3 doors. Safe, good sound isolation.

TV channels didn’t work and could bot use TV at all- even YouTube. Language in settings was in russian language.

An amazing location and a great apartment. Don't get discouraged by the entrance through the trash area and steep stairs (don't recommend this apartment if you have troubles climbing the stairs) as once you enter the apartment it is like being in another world. I absolutely loved floor heating in the bathroom and especially under the shower. Have never experienced it so far but was absolutely amazing to step on a warm shower floor. Slept on the sofa in the living room which was comfortable enough for three days.

Check in instructions need to be improved as they are a bit confusing. I would also recommend to add pictures which make everything easier for a person who is checking in. Luckily, the owner was very responsive, so I was able to get extra help as the whole process is self-check in but with the two improvements I suggest, this can be avoided.

Spacious clean warm quiet comfortable 2nd floor apartment in an renovated old building in the old part of Riga. Very quiet and dark at night making for good sleep. Shower is good. Location is handy to all the sights, supermarket, bus/train station. The staircase, commented on by several others is certainly steep and narrow, but we liked it. It propels you straight into the age and character of the area being stayed in.

A few things would make this place so much better, and we're not the first people to mention these : the dishwasher doesn't work, the TV doesn't either, the bathroom drains need a good clean as they provide a permeating smell if the bathroom window is closed for any length of time. The grey step at the bottom of the staircase needs a defining colour to remove the riak of falling off the last staircase step and onto the ground. The entranceway into the building leaves a lot to be desired - the street gate opens to several rubbish bins and their contents, walk past all that and avoid the broken paving tiles and then there's keypad entry to the building with the apartment. The lighting at night could be improved to make that all a bit easier.

It was very fancy for such a price. The location is right in the centre, there's lots of places to visit around. Overall, everything was perfect. When we had questions the staff always answered and was happy to help. It was really warm, didn't get cold at all. The bathtub was spacious. The bed was really comfortable. It was exceptionally clean. There was everything you need. Would book again. Wifi is really fast, able to stream movies without any buffering. An amazing place!

It was a little difficult to come inside the apartment, but we got used to it. The stairs are steep, you have to be really careful. The TV doesn't work sadly.
