Beautiful house with local architectural details like wooden windows and wooden terrace fencing. The village of Batigama is also very authentic - there are almost no large or even medium-sized hotels, just small houses where local people live and also other small guesthouses. At the same time the guesthouse is very near to the main road that connects all the resorts on the southern coast. The best beaches in the area are Turtle beach in 5 minutes walk (good for relaxation and turtle watching) and Hiriketiya beach which is 3 km away and has bigger waves and surf lifestyle vibe. The family who owns the house is very nice. They make delicious breakfasts and also can help with useful information, such as public transport schedule or facilities in the village. The owners also have a dog that is super cute and friendly!

King Coco is truly a lovely guesthouse, its really clean, they have everything you would need and they pay lots of attention to even the smallest of details. Its super modern, you have a kitchen area/fridge/iron etc. I could easily stay at this place for a very long time. And I haven't mentioned the wonderful family yet, such lovely people. And finally the breakfast. Wow, 10/10 👌 each and every day I was blown away by the amazing breakfast, massive portions and such variety. My stay at King Coco was perfect and I will for sure return again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at King CoCo's house - so much so that we extended our stay by an extra night! Sahan and his family were fantastic hosts. They were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. Sahan gave us good recommendations of the local area and even helped us organise our onward travel. The traditional breakfast they served in the morning was always fresh and tasty. It was also really nice to sit and eat on the balcony terrace. The room we stayed in was a decent size with a modern bathroom, both of which were very clean. The location of King CoCo's was fantastic as it was just over the road to Turtle Point so you could be on a really nice, clean, quiet beach (arguably the best beach in the area in my opinion) in minutes. The house was also less than a 10 minute drive in a tuk-tuk to Hiriketiya Beach which had a cool vibe and good surf. We couldn't fault the place - would recommend for a place to stay in Batigama.

Sahan and has family are great hosts and made us feel very welcome, and a very friendly dog. The breakfasts were amazing! 5 minutes walk from a beach where you can swim with turtles, and a short tuktuk away from the main Dikwella town and Hirekitiya. Sahan also got us get on a direct bus to our next location which was really helpful!

I was so happy to find KingCocoHouse as I didn't want to stay in the nearby more crowded beach towns. I was traveling alone and the family was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and you can enjoy it on their terrace. The room was spotless and it had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beach just across the road is spectacular, peaceful, and not as crowded as other beaches. You can go snorkelling right off the shore and swim with turtles there too! I can highly recommend this homestay! Thank you for everything - I hope to be back soon! :)

Whether it’s arranging transport, recommending local eateries, or helping to plan daily excursions, the host’s expertise and willingness to assist made our stay smooth and enjoyable. In conclusion, KingCoco House is a top choice for travelers seeking cleanliness, convenience, and a helpful host. Its prime location near Dickwella’s beautiful beaches and the impeccable condition of the accommodations make it a must-stay.
