On top if what have always been said, I must add that they gave us tuk tuk rides and bike for free, without accepting any tip at the end of our stay. It is the nicest family ever! The house is surrounded by locals, I loved the vibe! Have to give a mention for the great breakfast :)

very hospitable hosts - they met us at the airport and took us to the place in a comfortable minivan, showed us all the useful places nearby, took us on an excursion, prepared delicious food and it was just nice to chat. the rooms are new, clean and tidy. we occupied 2 rooms on the floor, we had a separate terrace with a large table at our disposal. 2 wonderful uncrowded beaches opposite, 2 min walk, calm beautiful lagoons where turtles swim by. highly recommend, we want to come back again!

the best part of this property is the people, the hosts are so accommodating and will do everything they can to show you around the beautiful location. the room was clean and there is a shared kitchen. the host brought us local fruit and soup in the evenings and offer us tea and coffee whenever, also they make an amazing srilankan breakfast. also the closest beach is quiet and stunning

This beautiful homestay is located perfectly within walking distance of Dikwella Town Centre, and Hiriketiya Beach (2km). The family that own the property are wonderfully kind people, we were greeted with tea and cake upon arrival, and shown around their spotless home. There is a covered outside kitchen area to use, and also covered balconies that make the property incredibly cosy. The room itself was very spacious and clean, with a large en-suite bathroom fit with a good pressure shower and towels are provided. The eldest son Sahan speaks the best English and essentially runs the property. A delicious breakfast spread was laid out for us each morning for us to enjoy upon waking up, with a variety of different items each day. The family were so lovely and attentive the whole time, making us feel so at home with frequent refreshments throughout the day and really went the extra mile to ensure we were looked after. If you stay in Dikwella for any length of time, I urge you to stay here, the experience was so enjoyable we stayed an extra night, and would definitely stay there again.

The only thing to bear in mind when staying at this property is as it is new, just make sure you have contact with Sahan in order to get full directions as the property is slightly tucked away off the main road
