Kithul Cottage

The cottage itself is very spacious and nicely set up with a beautiful view over the valley. Besides the lovely cottage I think that the hosts really made this accomodation more special. The freshly made food was being served with a big smile and the hosts really made us feel very welcome. Breakfast and dinner were both amazing!

The bathroom is seperate from the room, 2 stories down. You need to go outside to get to the bathroom, which always wakes me up more then I like to admit. A minor thing and defenitely not a deal-breaker.

Calm and heartwarming stay 😌 The location is near the train station and easy to access. In a local town with great mountain scenery. The owners hospitality and food is amazing. Great Sri Lankan experience!

Perhaps provide some mosquito coils and a small bar of soap? Walkers don't like to carry stuff😊

The upstairs room layout is comfortable and spacious with lovely views! The hosts were incredibly helpful and attentive. We had a vegetarian rice and curry dinner made by Preeti which was really incredible. Loved it!

Literally everything. Communication was great and the service, food and comfort were very good indeed. It's a really quiet place too and we slept like logs after Pekoe Trail Stage 4. They were also kind enough to find us a tuk tuk to get back to Pundaluoya for Stage 5.

My only issue was not having an attached bathroom. We had to climb down two flights of stairs to get there. I hope they would consider expanding and providing attached washrooms for all levels, even if it means jacking up the price.

Good hospitality and very good meals..friendly staff and Good service.The surrounding area is very beautiful 😍..the room was very beautiful and cleaned..there was a flat screen TV in the room..the kitchen is very nicely arranged, I love that place..

The toilet and wash room is located outside from the room.. Separated..it is not a private bathroom. The bathroom door is not locked properly. Hot water temperature was not good enough. I think it is too difficult when you need to go to the bathroom at midnight..

The hosts were lovely, made delicious food, and the location is perfect for the Pekoe Trail - the place has stunning views too!
