Prevalis Nature Cottage

Everything! We travel a lot but we never had such a kind and enthusiastic host as Marko. He knows a lot about the region and took us with really nice private boot tour on the lake. The house itself is also great and really clean. Our daughter was also the biggest fan of Marko. We could recommend this place to everyone who loves nature. We will definitely be back again one day!

The apartments were very private with terrace or balcony, and very comfortable and clean. But what made our stay here exceptional was Marko, the best host ever! He is knowledgeable and passionate about the area, and really cares that you have a good time. We took a wonderful 3 hour boat trip with him on Lake Skadar, and I’m quite sure that he offered a better experience than any of the other tour operators. He also gave us tips for hikes and day trips. We loved him! He’s reason alone to stay at Prevalis over anywhere else.

There is a bit of a steep walk through the garden to get up to the cottages - the con for getting privacy and views. But (Super-)Marko helps with your luggage, so not a problem. Payment is only in cash - this is mentioned in the booking conditions but we had forgotten - and the cash machines in Virpazar weren’t working when we were there, so make sure you bring enough cash with you. I would suggest Marko reminds guests before they arrive.

Stunning location, incredibly accomodating host with great knowledge of area + the boat trip for sunrise was something I won't forget! Thanks

Very high standard with stunning views

To say this palce is wonderfull, is an understatment. Marko is the best host, we've ever met. This guest house is a huge part of his life and you can really feel that. He gave us many usefull tips for hiking and also took us for boat trip. We truly felt that He was minding us all the time. +spacious and well-kept rooms +beatiful view on the vallay +really tasty brekfast and delicious dinner (not included) +we could try and buy wine straight from the Marko's winery +graet location for hiking and to discover Skadar Lake +good place to relax in silence I can recommend it with all my heart <3

It's just an incredibly beautiful place. The house is on a slope and you have an incredibly beautiful view of the hills and the houses. The apartment is simply and tastefully furnished and has everything you need. Fruit and vegetables grow in the garden. If you book breakfast, you might be lucky enough to try some. All in all, Marko is simply the perfect host. The location of the accommodation is perfect to have some peace and quiet from the now quite busy town of Virpazar and at the same time to have the right starting point for all kinds of activities around Lake Skodar. We would come back again and again.

Marko Marko Marko! The best host we have ever had! A true gem of a person. I will come back to him. As for the house, the house is beautifully designed, extremely spacious and the garden is lush and well curated. What a stunning space with exceptional views of the mountains. You live very close to the lake too. Was stocked with amenities and everything was very clean, well maintained and functional. We were able to BBQ outside and also use vegetables and herbs from the expansive garden that Marko had planted About Marko! He is the best host we have had. Extremely knowledgeable, generous and hospitable. We were totally cared for. No request was too much to handle and everything to given to us with utmost care. We also did a private boat tour of the lake with Marko on his boat and he showed us some of the best spots of the lake. He knows so much about the area and is so eager to share- truly amazing. We felt like we were able to skip the tourity hotspots and see the place and enjoy its beauty from places only a true local would know. Also his own wine is literally the most delicious wine we had and enjoyed dueing our entire trip to Montenegro (multiple cuties and multiple wine tastings as wineyards) We cannot wait to be back again someday and re-live the time we just had.

None, everything was fantastic: the view, the boat tour that Marko did for us, the talking, the breakfast & the garden, of course. Marko is a fantastic host. If we're to return, we'll definitely stay in his house again.

Prevalis Nature Cottage is a great place, very quiet and peaceful, only 1km from Virpazar old bridge but in the middle of nature and with fantastic views. They grow their own vegetables and fruits and you can find some turtles walking freely around in the garden. Marko is a very friendly and helpful guy. He will do everything he can to make you feel at home and have an unforgettable stay. He was a hiking guide so he can give you advice on places to go and how to get there. He can also take you on a private tour on Skadar lake with his own boat. He knows a lot about "his" lake and is happy to share his knowledge :-) You can have breakfast and dinner there. We had fresh carp, fished the same morning and cooked by Marko's mother. If you plan to spend a few days in Virpazar, Prevalis Nature Cottage is the place !
