Apartment Kovacevic Old Town

Location was wonderful. Comfortable rooms and spacious living areas.

Her şeyiyle çok güzeldi. Hem çok keyifli hem de her şey vardı. Ev sahipleri tarafından her şey düşünülmüş Evi bize tertemiz teslim ettiler. Kalabalık tatil yapmak isteyenler için birebir. Old town un tam merkezindeydi.

The only good thing was the location

Multiple problems - payment was only with cash, but this was not conveyed to us until 7:30pm on the day of check in (so after check in), despite the booking being non-refundable for a week by that stage, and the host wanted payment the next morning. We had only one day there and had a whole day tour booked, so getting cash out was a problem because my card didn’t work. In a country like Montenegro people need more notice than a few hours to withdraw cash because not everything works as it should! Cash was also not detailed anywhere in the booking.com details as the host told us. I asked them to charge the credit card we had used for the booking but they refused and their employee took our gate key and locked us inside the gate (with three little kids) until we gave them the money! The apartment is very old with dated furniture and tiny bathroom, nothing works properly (A/C, tv). Other problems: the air-conditioning didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. It was too hot to use that room at all, we had to pull a mattress onto the floor of the living room to sleep. Couldn’t find any towels for the bathroom because they were hidden on a high shelf above the bathroom door which we couldn’t see. No bathroom floor mat was provided. I asked for info about parking and the host mentioned street parking but did not convey that parking in Budva is basically completely impossible - it took us about an hour to get into a paid carpark (the boom only opened when someone left the carpark, and only 1 of 2 booms opened). Overall it is not worth visiting Budva in summer - it is so crowded it’s just not enjoyable. Very unpleasant experience overall that left a very bad memory of Montenegro. I won’t recommend anyone to visit this country (because of this and several other experiences with Montenegrin people). Obviously we were open and came to visit - but I have been convinced that welcoming tourists to their country is not important for many Montenegrins.

Best location in the Old Town. Great for a big group of friends.

The aircon in the second bedroom didn’t work properly / there was no air con. The bathroom is dated.
