Amazing historic feel once you enter room. Very well equipped, even not using the kitchen but for boiling water. Location is good, about 25 min walk to/from busstation, a few grocery shops nearby, eateries 10 min walk on Merchant or Republic Streets. While Valettastay offers to book a taxi from the airport at a special price of €25, you get a fixed price €17 taxi at the airport.

Do not book this if you don't have access to a printer, because after after booking you will need to complete a 'LEGALLY REQUIRED REGISTRATION FORM". This "form" does not come in a standard (PDF or similar) format, so takes several attempts with browsers or word processors to print and then it needs to be filled out by hand, signed and the multi pages be scanned and returned. My other 3 bookings in Malta had no such requirement. Also, be aware that the stairs to the apartment are somewhat slippery and have no or only partial handrails. Easy to become part of history. I found one of the 4 windows of the balcony hanging on a single, rusted hinge only, 2 others so tight that I didn't even try to open and only 1 that I could use to let air in the room
