The general photos on the Booking.com website show other apartments. But ours was still very good

Great location as all attractions are within walking distance. Good Breakfast Service, although coffee was kept to a minimum. The neighborhood was quiet. The staff was extremely friendly, always available and helpful, and responded promptly to requests. That made our stay in this Duplex pleasant.

On the other hand, the furniture is somewhat dated and not well kept. The armchairs need replacement. Overall, the lighting left us somewhat in the dark. The shower was great, except it does not drain properly because the construction seems to have been without any slope towards the drain. Very little room to put anything in the bathroom. Also, limited closet space. Only 1 bedside table.

Communication with the management was very smooth and friendly. The location is perfect, with easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and a cool jazz café. The apartment is clean and smells very pleasant.

A minor detail, but important for me: there was no power outlet in or near the bathroom. I needed to blow-dry my long hair every day because of humidity, so I had to go downstairs where there is no mirror, and then go back and forth, which was inconvenient. It would be very helpful to have a full-length mirror in the living room or an extra outlet near the bathroom door. Also, the room only has indirect natural light (no window to the outside), which can feel a bit dull if you plan to spend a lot of time inside. I personally did not mind since I was out most of the

Convenient location, quiet street, comfortable setting.

I might allergic to the air refresher used. We opened windows to get fresh airflow. I was fine the 2nd day.

Excellent location! Very spacious. Beautiful view of the harbor area. On check-in very late at night, the unit had no water at all, but the issue was immediately addressed by the staff, although it took three hours.

Apparently, the permanent residents in the annex unit building turn off the water on occasion because they don’t like the fact that the annex apartment is a rental. The furniture in the annex apartment is old and worn. Although the unit is very spacious, it does not have a cozy feel. Although minor, the following deficiencies would make the stay much more comfortable: a couple of boxes of tissues, more than one kitchen towel, and a sponge or dish cloth for the kitchen. There is no microwave, although there is a perfect space for one and the local restaurants are so great that it would be nice to have a microwave to heat up your leftovers or warm up breakfast. A number of the online pictures appear to be staged or edited, for example, some of the panels underneath the windows in the dining room area show a smooth finish, but in reality, there is a piece of unfinished plywood in one of them. In general, the unit needs some TLC.

-Extremely narrow, spiral staircase makes it impossible to carry luggage upstairs, and requires frequent trips to a dark lower level to access belongings -The two-floor layout is impractical and overall uncomfortable to use -Missing storage: no proper wardrobe, hangers, or sufficient space in the bedroom or for toiletries in the bathroom (there is plenty of space to setup shelves or cabinets) -Poor lighting throughout, including dark interiors and no bedside lamps for reading -Lack of soundproofing due to the old building structure -Significant noise from the street, as well as from neighbors and people entering the building
