Sea front apartment at Mellieha Bay, Malta!

My rate only focuses on the apartment. We really loved the apartment since it is very spatious, involves everything a guest needs and has a balcony with this amazing view! Loved that the host provided us with some of The access to the sea is just across the street, the shop is very near, also the bus station and a few restaurants.

I know that some people don' t have that feeling for cleanliness and stuff but with all that signs around the apartment (no smoking, keeping clean, keeping the ac off, no touching this and that button...) we always kinda had a feeling that we need to be alert all the time or something, i don' t really know how to explain it. People primarily go on vacation to relax without being afraid that they will do something wrong. Anyway, not used to that. Never came across something like this in my travel years. But if host had any negative experiences with dirty guests that is kinda understandable. I also don' t understand why would a guest have to do all of the stuff at the end of his stay (completely getting rid of the trash, folding laundry in a basket...?). If guest cleans everything what is even there to do for the host except bringing new towels and sheets.

Location was excellent and property contained all you required

After 70 countries visited, it's the first time I'm giving a bad opinion. The owner is really a frightening person. He was sending me messages and emails a week before our stay to read several guidelines. When I didn't reply in time, he was calling and screaming. Then I received an apology, so we still decided to go there, which was a big mistake. The apartment was smelling really bad, but the worst thing was that the owner suddenly wanted extra money for my 2 year old daughter and was sending people who were following us and taking pictures. We didn't feel safe there anymore, so we left earlier. Horrible experience

The apartment is next to the sea. Just across the street. Excellent position for bus stops, supermarket, and sand beaches. It is close to restaurants and the water is perfect. Very close to Popeye Village - a must go!

Dated but lovely place

This is a quite big apartment, spacious for a family of 4. We had nice breakfasts on the balcony with direct view to the bay. It has a really good location, you can find a bus stop about 2 mins by walk, 2 small shops also very close, and some nice restaurants also maximum 5 mins walk. The sandy beach is about 4-5 mins by walk and also the port takes about 3-4 mins by walk where many cruises departs. It was easy to communicate with the host, he was helpful and replied fast.

You have to push quite hard the main door to open it from outside. This is the door to the staircase from the street, not the main door to the apartment, that opens/closes smoothly. Well it is not that much bad, just a thing to keep in mind how it works.

Good location, beautiful views and proximity to the sea

Quite unusual property, which looks like a house left after the nearby properties had been demolished, something I only found out when arrived at location. Loud neighbours,neighbourhood flats which seemed to be populated by either builders or local workers in great numbers.
