Bacalar is a little paradise. The lagoon is a beautiful presence right on the property. I was in the Jaguar room, so I was able to wake up to the sunrise and the lagoon every day. I am a salty breakfast kind of person, and I was able to supplement my breakfast every day for an additional cost. The restaurant menu is wonderful. Breakfast on the balcony and a morning lake jump just a few meters from the room was dreamy.

To go to town, I took a taxi every time. One kind neighbor gave me a ride once. I was hoping to walk, but the walk would be on the highway, so it wouldn't be very fun or comfortable. Mostly 70 pesos to go to the bus station or downtown. 100 pesos in the evening.

Perfekte Lage direkt oberhalb der Lagune mit eigenem Steg und Kajaks. Sehr ruhig. Tolles Frühstück, das einem zur Unterkunft gebracht wird.

I loved the privacy of the rooms and the lagoon. It’s a little away from the main town which meant more of the lagoon was private. They also drop off breakfast in a picnic basket to your door. It was such a treat!

Very unique experience. Friendly staff. Good location on the Lagoon with access to the water very nice area to enjoy sunset and sunrise.

Breakfast was quite disappointing, very little food that. The hotel was not good value for money as it’s expensive in comparison to others in the area without much value.
