The Arena Tanjung Tuan Port Dickson

Overall, our stay at The Arena@ The Regency Port Dickson was a mixed experience. The beach-facing room offered stunning views, and parking was convenient. The nearby shops and proximity to Hanuman temple were convenient perks. However, the unit's cleanliness fell short with dust and hair on the floor. The lift service was problematic, especially for elderly guests or those with heavy luggage, as it was difficult to reach the 7th floor. Additionally, the air conditioning was average, and the water pressure was slow despite the water heater functioning well. With some improvements in cleanliness and lift service, it could be a more enjoyable stay.

The apartment is truly on the water's edge, perfect for watching the sunset. You'll hear the waves from the master bedroom as you fall asleep. Beach sand was like powder. Apartment is generally clean. Owner responded quite quickly when contacted.

1. Entrance to apartment is up a flight of stairs, about 4 or 5 steps, so it's not truly wheelchair friendly. Luckily my 88 year old father could still manage the stairs with help. The entrance is also all painted black so I had to switch on my phone's torch to access the key safe. 2. Both bathrooms had less than 1/4 left on the toilet roll so we had to use our own tissue packs when they ran out. Couldn't find any toilet rolls in kitchen cupboards. Owner said she would check with the cleaners but I guess our stay was too short for anything to be delivered. 3. Each of us was supplied a bath towel but some of them smelled musty and very strange. 4. We discovered there was no hot water in both bathrooms when we were showering at 10.30pm after the night out. Luckily, my aged father didn't catch a chill. Also, best to have only 1 person showering at a time as the water pressure was almost a trickle only when both showers were in use. There is also nowhere to put your toiletries in the shower of the master bedroom bathroom. Had to place them on the floor. 5. The other 2 bedrooms face the main road so if you're a light sleeper you might have trouble getting a good night's rest.

One of the room aircond wasnt working, but no problem we just slept outside. There were bug bites in bed.
