Whetu Whiti Apartment

Whetu Whiti is a delightful place to stay, especially for those who appreciate a serene mountain view. The emphasis on comfort is clear, with cozy bedding that offers a homey touch after a long journey. The spacious living room, complete with a flat-screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi, provides an ideal space for relaxation or entertainment. It's thoughtful that one of the bathrooms is designed to be elder-friendly, featuring a shower seat for added convenience. Zicky, the host, seems to go above and beyond in her role, being both approachable and helpful, especially when it comes to navigating the check-in process. Her thoughtful restaurant recommendations are an added bonus, showcasing her commitment to ensuring guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay.

In the photo of listing, there is no oven in kitchen. We forget that completely, we still bought some frozen food ends up we put that in the fridge so that's fine.

The apartment is clean, comfortable and warm. It has everything we need e.g. washing machine and a clothes drying rack, heating in all bedrooms and toilets, as well as the living room, a well-equipped kitchen including dishwasher even oil, sugar, salt and pepper. We’ve stayed in quite a number of apartments/motels in both the north island and the South Island, it’s the only one that provides slippers. It’s the best apartment we’ve stayed so far.

Each room has its own en-suite. The place was warm on arrival.

It is like a dormitory just outside the main village. There is no privacy. Make sure you close all curtains to avoid seeing and being seen by many of your neighbors.

Location was good, property was comfortable and warm. Kitchen is well equipped and functional.

The living room furnishings were a little sparse. One 4 seater couch for four adults wasn't too comfortable. Adding 1 or 2 lounge chairs would be good. Pictures on the living room walls would also make it more homely. TV is very old tech - could be upgraded.
