The Dunes At Fitzroy Beach Unit 2

Great location, very modern and tidy

Love the dunes have stayed a few times I like the quietness of it ,

The only down fall is having to wait to 3 pm to access the property , on the day of arrival when you have been traveling all day you like to be able to access accommodation earier

Pleasant and modern units in a wealthy area, a few steps away from the beach and excellent coastal path. Short walk to the centre of Fitzroy. An easy level 40 minute walk into town along the scenic coastal path. Whilst generally clean, let down by lack of attention to detail, ie, grubby toaster and tray, bathroom bin. We were delighted to see a bbq, however not fit for purpose. Spacious raised deck and garden area. Laundry room. Nice little touches such as arm chair in laundry room. Bean bags for use in garden. Overall well equipped.

Bizarre on line check in where. After paying, ID required in form of driving licence and copy of the front side only of a credit card. Cumbersome. Never known anything like it. Bbq not fit for purpose. Filthy. No tools. No outside table on the deck for alfresco dining. What's the point? Option of course to lift dining table out onto deck but academic as bbq not used. Most disappointing. Washing machine grubby. Whilst unit was generally clean, attention needed for external facilities. Unkempt lawn and boarders.

Everything was new, clean & location was exceptional.

No broom or beach towels (considering beach is a walk away).

As I found this property online it was hard to know how it was set up, photos weren't that helpful. We were a family of 3 and we felt that the property was way to small for 3 adults, it should just be advertised as suitable for 2 people. Once the sofa bed was pulled out it took up all of the 'living area' , table needed to be moved. Also with 3 people using the bathroom where the only mirror was it made it difficult for putting make up on and doing hair, it meant that I was taking up time that others wanted the bathroom, there should definitely be a mirror in the bedroom (preferably a full length one).
