the room is very spacious, clean and modern with complete amenities to make your stay worthwhile. kudos to the owners for being very accommodating and understanding with the needs of their guests. highly recommended for those who wants to be at peace while enjoying the beauty of bohol.

Old German guy there was creepy 😳 and was looking at my GF panties hanging up. He drove a green weenie van. Beware it states on social media.

Not clearly described that "Visaya Pearl" is one of several inedependently managed apartments under the overall name of BOHOL JEWEL Took us ca. two hours to reach it, unaware that B. J. was the good sign.

“Visaya Pearl” is not a stand-alone property but several rooms of a condominium called Bohol Jewel. Therefore, it does not appear on most maps, there are no signs to it from the road or anywhere on the side road and no taxi driver seems to know it. The only way to find it is via the link sent in a message from the owners via Booking. Careful navigation is needed. The Bohol Jewel property where the Visaya Pearl rooms are located is a small condo of about 40 rooms with a mix of owners and long-stay guests surrounding a pleasant pool. Bohol Jewel is located remote from any tourist facilities or shops to buy food and in my opinion, personal transport (your own car or rented car/bike) is essential if staying there Trikes will come there if contacted but it’s relatively expensive and slow. It’s about 20 -25 minutes to drive from Bohol Jewel to facilities at Alona Beach or Tagbilaran. The room itself was well-decorated and comfortable, with a small kitchen, (hot plate/ toaster/jug), and a good bed. Unfortunately, our room had an industrial security spotlight 2 m from the bedroom which illuminated the bed all night. The window shade is decorative but not functional and does not block the light. Hanging blankets over the window was the only way to darken the room at night which was not particularly enjoyable. There is some food at the property but it is limited and may not always be available, so you need to cook your own or plan to eat before returning to the condo. The Spanish restaurant listed in the profile as 600m away is actually 9 km away in Alona Beach. Overall, I felt that "Visaya Pearl" was a difficult option for a short stay in Bohol (we stayed 4 nights), but could be suitable for those with their own transport who are planning a long-term stay. “Visaya Pearl” was a not a good choice for our short visit to Bohol and we felt that it was misleading to present this accommodation as if it is a stand-alone option.

Peacefulness and quiet. It is also very near Bohol Bee farm and a private beach.

There should always be someone at the reception.

Comfortable, large rooms with a kitchen and living area. Big bathroom and a pool.

- We booked this property primarily because of the kitchen, but there’s only one portable hob to cook with, meaning it was difficult to cook anything. - The Wifi was temperamental. - It took about 1 hour for the staff to arrange a scooter for us on the first day, which was frustrating due to the location being quite far from anything. - There’s only two loungers by the pool, both of which were broken.

The pool was great and the pool bar. The rooms were large and comfortable. Staff were all very kind.

We were a bit outside of the main places to stay but you could hire bikes from the hotel so it was still very easy to get into the action.

Large comfortable one bedroom unit. Ground floor, steps to the pool. Joy who was the manager of the apartment was a delight.

Somewhat remote so you will need to rent a scooter or car to get around. The WiFi was good at first but then went downhill. Not sure if the router was the issue or the company providing the service. They rent scooters on-site so that is easy.

Very beautiful location. Very kind and helpful staff.

The bed had a weird odor, mind of like urine. There was someone else's toothbrushes in the bathroom. Pillows smelled a little as well.
