The town is ok

Perfect place! Comfy bed and usable kitchen!

Really nice apartment in Twizel. Great location only about a 5 minute walk from the main strip. We spent the day in Mount Cook and were heading down to Te Anau the following day and this was the perfect place to spend 1 night to break up our journey and save some time on the road not backtracking to Lake Tekapo for a second night. Comfortable bed, quiet and clean. Designated parking spot. We ate at Fishtail for dinner and Mint + Co for breakfast and would recommend both.

As others have mentioned, there could be a larger sink/shelf in the bathroom to keep toiletries and the cutlery is hard to find (it’s in a hidden drawer in the kitchen island). The couch also wasn’t super comfortable and limited channels on TV. The town of Twizel is very small and sleepy. Again, perfect for one night and we enjoyed the two meals we had, but for us, one night was plenty. There is a fully stocked kitchen though, so if you’re the type that wants to cook your own meals while on vacation and just have a night in with a movie, this is a good centrally located home base for other adventures. Typical AirBnB rules apply so you’ll be cleaning up after yourself.

No small freezer compartment in the fridge for ice.

Quiet and private. Good location.

There were no instructions on how to use the washer, heater AC unit. The pillows were super hard and the covers didn’t go over the side of the bed. There was no one available to ask questions.

The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and worn out. Not suitable for more than 2 people. False advertising

the rubbish bin area has a lot of flies and smells
