Fantail Cottage

The location on the side of a hill, backing onto a farm was close to town. The cottage was very cosy and well insulated. The decor was stunning, the attention to detail was amazing. The host Gary was very accommodating, and happy to help when we had questions. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Easy to get to the accommodation, Host is friendly and helpful, Location is excellent for access to harbour, meals, Peaceful place and easy to access SH1.

The location was excellent. A magical accommodation, a dream to stay there, clean and very homely. I would recommend to anyone. Owners have taken great care to restore this cottage into a fantastic guesthouse. Artistically decorated. Everything you need including a washer/dryer. Spacious enough. Large comfortable bed. A beautiful veranda where we ate and relaxed in front of the kitchen part on a cute separated small cottage. View of the sea. 2 minutes walk and you have a great view overlooking Oamaru and wonderful full view of the sea. Good wifi. Room to park the car off street. Very easy check in, easy check out. Good, easy and nice communication and nice flexibility from the owner. An amazing experience, an awesome place. Oamaru is a very nice place with several things to do and visit.

Quiet location away from the main drag, but within easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very comfortable, clean, everything worked well. Kitchen and laundry facilities on site. Really charming little cottage.

A wee radio would have Been nice just to add to the retro feel. Not everyone has music on phone or watch tv
