Central location in the heart of historic Bergen

Great location easy access to sights and great host. Left us guide books to use and this showed us architecture on buildings which we loved

The first night Saturday night was noisy from local establishments but no problems sleeping with ear plugs

Very well equipped apartment, and Thomas the host was very friendly and gave us a lot of information about the place and recommendations of things to do, as well as very comprehensive instructions about the apartment, and even a goody bag of baked goods on our arrival! Location was perfect, so much around and very centrally located.

Gospodarz przygotował nam na powitanie gorący pyszny chleb, drożdżówki i napoje z pobliskiej piekarni - po raz pierwszy spotkałam się z tak hojnym i miłym przyjęciem. Kontaktował się też z nami, by przedstawić historię miejsca, w którym mieszkaliśmy (!). W ogóle bardzo dobry kontakt. Mieszkanie wygodne, w pełni wyposażona kuchnia z nielimitowanym dostępem do smacznej kawy z ekspresu :). Lokalizacja genialna, kilkadziesiąt metrów od sklepu, 2 minuty piechotą od portu. Bezdomni w pobliżu domu nie byli żadnym problemem, nie zaczepiali nas w ogóle.

Brak klimatyzacji, a trafiliśmy na niespodziewane upały (ponad 30 stopni C). W nocy głośne zachowanie klientów restauracji obok, ale takie są uroki mieszkania w samym centrum. Gdzieniegdzie w mieszkaniu niedokładnie sprzątnięte miejsca, np. parapety i zepsuta 1 roleta, ale nie miało to większego wpływu na jakość naszego pobytu.

Location was fabulous.. Key code entry.. Extremely well stocked up apartment plus complimentary breakfast items presented upon check in.. Host was very responsive and prompt.. And courteous..

As already mentioned in most of the prior reviews, the homeless people hanging out close by to the apartment.. Even Though they don’t trouble you, but you still can’t be confident about the whole situation.. Stairs leading upstairs to the apartment on the first floor..

This was probably my favorite place while doing a tour of Scandinavia including Oslo, Copenhagen and Aarhus. The apartment was very well-equipped, fairly spacious and the host was very responsive. The bed was comfortable and had good quality linens. There is no AC (standard for Scandinavia) but there were plenty of windows to keep the place from getting stuffy. There is good lighting with a high "hygge" factor. Although it rained a lot in Bergen, all our stuff dried easily overnight.

In the immediate area there are locals doing drugs. Being from Chicago, we're pretty unfazed by that. They are not problematic during the day, and they're even fairly polite. Because we had to keep the windows open at night to stay cool enough, it would get loud. Nothing that earplugs can't take care of, but just know before you go.

Directions to access property were clear and concise. The location is exceptional. Close to markets, shops, tourist destinations and public transit. Very well equipped kitchen and the apt had everyday items stocked....kitchen soap, shampoo, lotion, hand soap, etc. This was welcomed as flying in makes it hard to carry those things. Host responded quickly to my questions. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, the homeless population does gather in the street to the front and behind this apt. A few nights they were extremely loud and sleep was hard to come by. The view from the apt to the old church is nonexistent as we had to keep the blinds down 24/7 due to it being a popular hang out spot. Watch your step--you probably can figure out why. I do t blame the host at all for this. It must be hard to have to deal with this issue. The only negative with the apt was 1-glassware was not clean on arrival. Was simple enough to wash a few glasses with provided soap tho. 2- the clothes washer has mold in it, probably due to the cramped location and it doesn't get to dry out. It needs a good deep clean. 3-the shower needs to be scrubbed clean of mold and have the doors fixed so that water doesn't flood the bath. Very small negatives to a very very nice place.

Great amenities and the generous gift of a delicious loaf of bread and two pastries was much appreciated Apartment was cosy on a cold weekend shower pressure excellent, laundry facilities good kitchen well equipped bed v comfortable able to watch the Euros football on the tv! Easy to get to and super close to the Bryggen area and Floybanen terminal

only issue was the lurking local druggies in the small square between apartment and church but we knew to expect them and once the windows were closed we couldn’t really hear the shouting (we were there over a Fri and Sat nights) they really kept to themselves and didn’t hassle us at all

Property very good but location was uncomfortable due to prevalence of homeless people on steps and in street close by.
