Central location in the heart of historic Bergen

Beautiful old street in the historic centre. Great location, close to transport, sights, ferry terminal, Floysbanen railway. Great contact with the host. Street flushed with water every morning, drug addicts pay no attention to tourists

Location doesn’t get any better! Apartment was really well equipped and very comfortable. The street where the apartment is situated is actually safe and clean.

If you are worried about the bad reviews. Here’s my 2 cents regarding the “junkies” 1) What most people don’t know is that homeless people with hard drug addiction usually keep to themselves and mind their own business, which was the case during our stay, so no issues at all. 2) If you are sensitive to watching them avoid the street behind it (this is where most of them are) and literally just look the other way if you encounter them. There were days where the street was actually clear of them. So don’t let this unsettle you. The location, amenities, Thomas’ attentiveness make up for the potential 15 second encounter with the people on the street.

The distance to the very most central city centre is very short, a couple of minutes walking.

However, the location is not great, because it is in the middle of the worst drug addict / homeless / drug dealer area in the city, which is really filthy. As an example, the flat has a small balcony which would be nice to use if it were not filthy and with view only to the filthy drug dealing / addict "centre". As it was a holiday with celebrations, it was OK that the noise from nearby bars made sleeping a challenge. The kitchen fan did not work, which limited food preparation.

Drug addicts surround the property. They are using and dealing drugs around the property. The host Thomas did not mention this at all in the posting. Also he refused to cancel the booking or provide any support.

Very central, one street back from the harbour area. Easy walking distance to most places worth visiting, or to the public transport, which is easy to use. Plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped. The sound proofing on the windows was very effective.

The shower was too small for most people to use easily. No room to bend down at all. Another thing of concern was nothing to do with the property itself but vagrant-types of people hanging around in the street until very late in the night was intimidating if you came back late in the evening.

The apartment was nice and clean and very well furnished. To top it all off, the location couldn't get any more central. Don't get disheartened by comments regarding junkies. They weren't a nuisance, and the location and quality of the apartment more than make up for it. In one minute (!) you're at the fishmarket, the Floyensbanen, and at Bryggen. Thomas was extremely helpful, I highly recommend his place to travellers seeking to discover Bergen.
