Askray Apartment - Lake Tekapo

The location is superb and the apartment is a good size. The bathroom is excellent with a great shower. However the furnishings are very poor and the kitchen area is badly equipped. The sofa and chairs in the living room are extremely uncomfortable. The outside furniture is very old and also uncomfortable. The whole apartment would be improved immeasurably by a decent sofa and chairs and some good outdoor furniture like a proper table and chairs and a couple of sun loungers. This wouldn’t cost a lot and would bring the standard of this apartment up to excellent. The view is absolutely stunning but for these reasons I wouldn’t stay again.

Amazing apartment with plenty of room and views to die for.

We had the entire apartment on the lower ground to ourselves including the driveway to park our rental car. The apartment was very clean fresh smelling with heated beds & toilet. Eventhough there wasnt a dryer, there were clothes rack provided to dry in the apartment or out back in the backyard where the clothing line is also available. Detergent was also provided. The Wifi speed was phenomenal compared to other locations, going between 120-200Mbps (compared to the average speed elsewhere of 10-30mbps). The view from the drive way was also gorgeous.

Small part where it was a slight inconvenience was the induction cooking, as it is not an actual stove top, a portable induction cooker was provided instead.
