The View Lake Tekapo

To be honest, was rather disappointed. 1. Oven was not working throughout the trip 2. Management only sent someone over when reminded again that the oven was not working. Even then it couldn’t be fixed 3. No offer of compensation for the inconvenience 4. When stating that it’s a fully equipped kitchen I’d have expected simple items such as cooking oil, salt and pepper to be available. 5. There was a coffee machine but no coffee pods provided. 6. Kitchen would’ve benefitted from additional dish cloths to help with keeping the place clean. 7. Having stayed in Tekapo previously, I would’ve expected a luxury unit like “The View” to have a little welcoming gift (e.g. local produce)

What an amazing place to stay 🥰 wow

Easy to find and close to local facilities. Comfortable with great views over the lake to the mountains. Good kitchen with oven and fridge and hob. Washing machine and tumble dryer. Quiet and private.

Nothing

The apartment and view were absolutely beautiful. They had everything we needed. Very nice decor. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were large. There is a washer and dryer which was wonderful to not have to hang your clothes all over the house to dry.

We arrived in the dark late at night and the directions were not clear. We had a difficult time finding the apartment. Also, you have to pick up a key at rental office and then drive to the property and then return the key. Seems like everywhere else they have a key lock box or coded keypad. That needs to be updated. That’s a major issue at 10 o’clock at night.

Spectacular view & an amazing property

Very modern house, clean and comfortable stay. Fantastic views overlooking the beautiful blue lake Tekapo in distance. Wide corridor inside make it extra special.

Pretty pricy, $730 a night for 4 ppl can get you top notch hotels elsewhere. But unfortunately not many choices in Lake Tekapo. No Sky Sport to watch at night.
