Waves on the Esplanade

Spacious, clean, well appointed seafront apartment in a great location within short walking distance to town.

The location was excellent, right on the beachfront and despite being the furthest back flat we still had great views of the mountains and sea. The flat has everything you need including two separate bathrooms and laundry facilities which is really handy. The apartment is very cosy, it was quite stormy on one of the days we were there so we loved being able to stay warm and dry. Short walk up to Kaikoura central area. Amazing honey + coffee cafe called Bee Box just around the corner!

The kitchen appeared clean on the surface but the oven backsplash had drips all over it, the pans and cooking utensils were covered in food which we had to scrub before use, the bowls and cups inside the cupboards/drawers had water in them (from coming out of the dishwasher I am guessing). I think perhaps this just hadn't been checked after previous guests had put things away without cleaning them properly. Not a huge issue and the rest of the apartment was spotless, but we scrubbed everything in the kitchen before use just in case!

Just to let you know there was no remote for the Air Conditioner.

Loved the aspect facing the beach, sea and mountains. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable.

The second bedroom with two single beds was quite small for two adults.

Apartment had everything you would need and was very clean. Great location and parking spot for your apartment.

TV a little tricky

Door code sent prior to arrival, nil hosts on sight so never met anyone. Location was good with in walking distance to most things.
