Apartments Madeira Santa Maria

The location was wonderful. Perfect for access to sea, to restaurants, to cable car and transport and to explore centre of Funchal.

The owner was great, helped us a lot and provided a lot of recommendation. Sara is great and we had a great time.

Rooms are spacious, comfortable beds. Kitchenette is there but we didn’t use it… there is a nice coffee/ pastry shop 100m from the flat, and lots of restaurants on the doorstep. Gui was very nice and recommended things to do around.

Very nice place to stay in the very heart of the city of Funchal. Bars, coffee shops and restaurant 2 mins walking, first floor but still a lot of light. The small patio is very useful and charming. Few minutes walking from the ocean. The check in was very easy to organize and Guilherme is a very helpful and available person.

The location was perfect, right in the middle of the old town. Sarah, our host, was very friendly and helpful.

The apartment is a little bit outdated but you have everything you need.

The location of the property is very good, close to some of the main attractions. The beds are very comfortable and the cleanliness of the property, in generel, was very good.

Great apartment for two couples or a family in the perfect location in the old town. Restaurants on the doorstep and a short walk to the sea and tourist attractions. Loved the view over the square. Comfortable beds (two singles pushed together). Our host Sarah very helpful and friendly.

Only minor things. Some matching wine glasses would be nice and the shower room could do with a new shower tray.

Sarah met us at the apartment, also arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport. As well as helping us up the stairs with our bags. The apartment was in a fantastic location right in the heart of the old town and a hop skip from some fantastic restaurants of which all were recommended by Sarah. Very comfy beds. Spacious apartment. All in all we loved it, the support staff, the location - just wonderful. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

There was an ant infestation in the kitchen, we'd had similar in other locations we've stayed on this trip - but they included the black ant box catchers (I don't know their name) and also some ant spray - maybe include this too. We never really had enough hot water for three of us, not sure there is much you can do about this though. It was a bit chilly, so maybe some electric heaters for a cold evening.
