Sintra Design Apartment

Great location right in Sintra near the National Palace. Within walking distance to Quinta da Reglaleira.

The rooms and the entire place were kind of stuffy. Not enough fans or air flow, no AC. We opened the windows but a bird flew in and left a mess.

Large 3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, spacious, comfortable, modern clean design in the most central location in Sintra.

Host went out of his way to make sure we were properly checked in as we were late arriving at the property.

Great location for accessing local monuments. As a large family we appreciated the spaciousness and washing machine.

There was a confusion when arriving which sent us 2 streets over… this was super tricky with 4 children and luggage in the heat and bustle of the town. Sadly the floors were not clean which with a crawling baby is not acceptable; in fairness the hosts were very responsive and arranged cleaners to come while we were out on day 2. The apartment was clearly done to a good standard but the wear is very visible … tarnished grout and showerheads in the bathroom and marks and tears on the furnishing make the place feel grubby. With a refresh this could be much improved. Also the apartment is advertised with free street parking which is misleading … there might be 4 ‘free’ parking spaces in the whole of the town but we did not succeed in securing one. If I were the host I would make it more apparent that Sintra is NOT CAR FRIENDLY… advising instead for travelers with cars to notify of arrival within 30mins of approach and arrange to meet host at The News Museum to unload luggage before driving on to other local parking ( being either expensive paid parking at bottom of town or better out 6 mins at Train Station of Portela de Sintra and either train or UBER back in.)

Apartment is very good location and convenient for tourists, there are bus stop outside the apartment, the bed is comfortable.

The location is great. It's wonderful to experience Sintra in the early morning and late evening when 99% of the people leave, since most people only do a day trip there. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and the hosts were very helpful!

Parking our car was a hassle. As a flip side of the excellent location, there's only paid parking out on the street. Luckily we arrived late in the evening and parking spaces had opened up.
