"Overall fine, but with serious drawbacks."

View, when there were no clouds.

Worst thing was low temperature (beginning of March, in Funchal was around 21C). Second worst was humidity. Towels and your laundry cannot get dry.

"lovely owners, beautiful quiet place, warm pool!!!"

what a lovely stay we had. the views can be astonishing, and the heated pool, was really heated so we enjoyed it a lot! also the fire place in the house is cosy. and the house is very spacious and the area quiet (think; crickets in the evening, rooster in the morning, now and then a mowing cow)

because it’s a bit higher up, we were in the mist plenty of times . the house was a little damp. maybe because we stayed in December.

Remote but well situated for trekking/hiking. Next levada 10 meters from the house, good starting point. Several good restaurants in 30minute-walk range and very friendly hosts ( and cats&dogs) !!!!

"Amazing spot in the mountains"

Everything was wonderful! Astonishing view from the bedroom balcony. Lovely pool with the warm water.beautiful garden.paradise on the top of the world.

Just for inexperienced drivers to note that the road is narrow and steepy.the Google map doesn't show correct street that leads you to the house so ask the owner for exact indication otherwise you will be driving up and down. We were very happy with the stay and location overall.
