it was in an incredible location and very very comfortable. There was everything you could possibly want, including fresh bread, cheese, smoked ham, regular ham, yogurt, orange juice, milk, eggs etc etc. They even had a selection of wine you could purchase! We were able to check in early so we could drop our bags and go and explore the town while the cleaning was being done.

Excellent location, with superb views up the Douro. Very well appointed, and the hosts had left a very generous provision of things to eat and drink.

Excellent location, beautiful views, extremely quiet and peaceful, very spacious, clean & well equipped. Within close walking distance to restaurants, train station, river front & quintas.

The food left for breakfast was wonderful. We were able to prepare a delicious breakfast. We arrived on a holiday and there were very few options for restaurants available. We found our first choice of restaurant closed. We saw the host had left a frozen dinner in freezer and decided to relax and enjoy this dinner instead of walking and searching for an open restaurant. There is a charge by the host for the meal but it was an option we appreciated.

Only issue we had was host was not at the property and did not answer her phone or text message because she could not hear her phone ring. We had to wait an hour and decided to call customer service at Bookings for help. They immediately got in touch with her and we got the code. We wished she had texted us the code before we arrived and also had given us instructions on how to find the property and where we were supposed to park. All else was wonderful!

Fresh bread delivered daily plus fridge full of lovely food. Apartment very well equipped and fantastic balcony overlooking the river.
