The location was perfect and it was so magical to stay right next to the castle! The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed. The AC unit worked great to heat the apartment on chilly mornings. Some of the previous reviews were inaccurate to us because the AC unit provides heat as well as cool air, so maybe people didn't realize that? There were great restaurants nearby and it was an easy walk down to the main part of town. It was also very easy to find parking nearby.

The apartment was a little hard to find, so here's our tip. Find the pillory (Pelourinho) and the apartment is down a little lane just to the west of it. Literally steps from the pillory.
