Cantinho da Sara

The apartment was in a great location, was clean, and had large enough space in all of the rooms. It was very quiet and we appreciated the on site parking. There was heat in the living room but not in the bedroom.

The bed was very hard, there was no heat/ cooling working in the bedroom. The lighting was poor in the living room so reading was very difficult. The deck furniture was very old and dirty. There was no oven in the kitchen and the stove top was complicated and unpredictable. There were no carpets on the floor so sand on shoes was spread on the floor.

Location was fantastic, just a few steps from the beach and within a 10 min drive from most other beaches in the area. The pool was clean and well maintained and never too crowded despite this being high season (probably because there are so many nice beaches right next door). There's a small supermarket across the street and the main supermarkets are less than 10 min away by car. There are several restaurants around, but tried only one (Churrasqueira do Vau) which was OK but not great. Apartment was clean, spacious and functional with kitchen, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Owner/manager was very pleasant and helpful. Tip: just leave your car at the apartment if you have one and take ubers around. It will cost between 3 and 10 eur to get to the city and other beaches without need to park
