Pulita, ben servita con utensili in cucina, condimenti, shampoo, bagnoschiuma…Non mancava nulla! Struttura accogliente e pulita posizionata in una zona tranquilla. Helena è stata molto gentile e disponibile. Consigliato.

All nice

We liked the location of this property as it was easy to walk into the main area of Porto. It is a residential property and it appears people live here full time. It is very close to the metro which was good as we were travelling from the airport. There is a supermarket close by, and also some nice local independent cafes. Our host Helena was very nice and had left toiletries for people to use, cleaning products and provided us with the extra pillows as requested. There was coffee and tea and milk for us on arrival which was much appreciated. There was good info from Helena and she sent us texts prior to arrival. Maps and details of what to do also explained. The apartment had good kitchen utensils and enough plates etc. Plenty hot water for showers and spare blankets etc. The apartment is safe as there is a main front door which is only accessed by keys and then stairs/lift to apartments. We felt very safe!

The apartment is "tired" and needs to be freshened up. We had great problems with the blinds, particularly in the bedroom. Helena told us to wind it very carefully, which we did. However, even with light and careful winding the whole thing just flew down as it rolled. Most of the teeth have broken off hence the difficulties, the blind itself is frayed at the ends. To wind the blind up in the morning, my husband had to get the dining room chair to stand on, and then slowly and manually wind the blind. For a small expense a new blind out of Ikea would solve this problem, or put up curtains. The kitchen blind was also a problem. It actually fell down and nearly hit my husband on the head! This required him to roll it by hand and then hang it up. Again the teeth on this blind are old and this blind needs replaced. There has been a flood at some point from the shower we presumed. Outside the bathroom leads to the dining /living area, and the flooring needs replaced. It is very unsightly and ruins the appearance in this area. This needs to be addressed as we noticed another person had highlighted this in the reviews. The area is noisy at night and in the early hours we were woken by people talking/shouting as they walked past. As we were on the 3rd floor it appeared this magnified the noise. Despite double windows (that shook in the wind), the noise affected our sleep. We were also woken by the lift noise, as the headboard in the bedroom, backs on to the lift shaft.

Location was great. Quiet street but walking distance to centre

It was a spacious apartment with a lot of light. Nice bedroom with a big bed and the sofa also was quite comfortable to sleep on. There were shower products provided and all the bedding and towels included in the price. Many blankets were available if we felt cold in the night. Also there is a nice dining table where all four of us could fit comfortably.

We wanted to cook in the apartment and we found that the pans were quite scratched, so the food got stuck easily. There is land under construction in front of the building so in the morning on work days you can hear a little bit of the noise from it. The bathroom door made a lot of noise when closing it or opening so when someone went in there at night, the people sleeping on the sofa heard it clearly every time.

Great location, comfortable, a good sized bathroom and a warm welcome.

As a couple who like to cook, we would have liked more kitchen utensils but it was adequate if you just wish to prepare a simple meal.
