Invictus Porto Apartment

The host was very helpful and friendly, providing us a map and showing good places on it. We visited most of them, including Cafe Santiago for a local favorite, the Francesinha. We had a portable heater for the living area and a wall heater in the bedroom. The kitchen had most everything we needed, except paper towels or napkins.

The pillows were rather uncomfortable. It would've been nice to have napkins and/or paper towels. Some things were either unclean (along edges of countertops & floors and under items like trash cans or shower bucket/caddy) or damaged by water (i.e. laminate floor boards outside bathroom, baseboards, bottom of bathroom door, etc.), though most things were clean.

Helena’s apartment is great to stay in Porto. Good location, close to the subway station, 10-15 min from the city center. Highly recommended!

Apartment was fine, all well prepared and clean. Good location, close to metro. The owner is friendly and helpful.

You can smell the mold in the house and heater is not strong enough to make the apartment warm.

It was a clean, comfortable and private apartment. Homie’s vibes! Helena, the owner, is very kind. Definitely if I ll come back I ll book it again !

It is better than sleeping outside.

The apartment has mould and no heating. We arrived the first night to find that the flat was so cold that the bed was damp, and, one of us has asthma so the damp began causing breathing problems. There is no heating apart from a small oil heater to combat this. We had booked 3 nights, but because of the conditions, we were pushed to leave immediately the next morning and book another hotel in the city after a deeply uncomfortable night shivering and lying in a damp bed. We contacted the owners to inform them and were "left on read". I messaged Booking.com to inform them, who passed our feedback on to the property. They told us that the property denied everything, so I have attached photos as evidence to help someone else avoid the same experience. Really disappointed in the flat and the way the situation was handled.

Three minutes walk from metro station in the centre of Porto.

Location was good and close to transit systems. Very open window set up and a well stocked kitchen.

The place felt run down and old. It says it has luggage storage but only has a closet you can use while staying there. No dropping luggage off before hand or picking up later. Said it had a heater but we couldn't find it. The pull out sofa was absolutely awful with a metal bar that sticks in your back. The curtains couldn't be opened or closed or they would fall down. The water heater in the bathroom is strapped to the ceiling in such a way that we were terrified it would fall and kill someone.

A clean apartment with all basic necessities, including a fan, radiator and iron.

The neighbours were evidently rearranging furniture for most of our stay, which was very noisy.
