RIBEIRA CHARMING APARTMENTS

Good location for getting to the river and other attractions. Nice large kitchen.

Very noisy at night. Double glazed windows, like most of the European accommodations would solve the problem. No aircon, so very hot inside. Can’t open the windows at night due to the noise. There is parking close by but it is paid parking and very expensive. Top floor apartment has a shower curtain. Need I say more?

Location was great. Host was exceptionally helpful.

Narrow staircase to get to apartment. Only an issue if you have large suitcases.

The apartment was very large and comfortable with a nice shared living space. The balcony and large windows were a plus.

There was a very bad smell/stench in stairwell leading to the apartment--so bad that it clung to my clothes. I couldn't quite figure out where it was coming from. There was also an odor from the bathroom drain.

Location was great

The smell was horrible, so we had to open the windows and the noise was a continuous during the night and morning. I would not repeat. Thanks God we had just one night.

Good location.

We made a last minute reservation when our airbnb fell through. The host was responsive, and a short time later, we had the key code to the apartment. The location is wonderful, a short walk from the Douro River, minutes from an area with restaurants with outdoor tables where we listened to street singers and across the street from a nice wine shop.

The parking. There is free parking if you're lucky enough to get a space on the short street right in front of the apartment, but it's no sure thing. We did get a spot the first night but needed to move the car to a parking garage in the morning because of construction on the street. It was not cheap, but the location of the apartment made it worth the extra cost.

Since the location was so central and the windows weren’t well insulated, it was noisy at night (from the people) and in the morning (from the seagulls).

Location is amazing! The host super responsive

The appartement was nicely furnished. The location was great for visiting Ribeira by foot. Great ice cream (Gelatopia) and many restaurants just around the corner.

Shower - it could be good to put a sliding door to replace de curtains. Also, water evacuation is too slow. There is no phonetic isolation within the building (heard upstairs neighbors walking back and forth until late, as well as a bit loud on the street at nights. Hence a bit complicated to get a good sleep.
