daPraça Apartments

I had the pleasure of staying in the Apartment with Terrace for 3 nights. The apartment is located in a charming residential area (Bonfim) and is close to all of the sights of Porto (easy walking distance) but far enough away not to feel touristy. The apartment itself is homely, airy and spacious. The master bed was large and comfortable and the terrace is lovely for a quiet evening sipping port and reading a book. João was an excellent host and even picked me up from the metro station which was above and beyond what I expected. If I’m ever back in Porto, this is where I’ll stay.

My only issue with the Apartment was that I could hear music from the coffee shop / restaurant / bar downstairs. I stayed during a public holiday which might explain the slightly louder music (which stopped at midnight).

An attractive and comfortable studio with everything necessary for the three of us. A nice, quiet area and easy to get to the centre. Great communication from the host too.

Absolutely amazing stay at the apartment - both Joao and his father in law were lovely and brilliant hosts providing guidance both before and during our stay. They provided recommendations of what to see, how to get to the apartment and local amenities. We really appreciated the delicious handmade cakes as well as the port and coffee. The location is within walking distance of the centre and a quiet neighbourhood. The apartment itself was perfect for 2 people and we absolutely loved the terrace - it was a shame we didn't have better weather to take more advantage of it is the only thing! We were able to leave our bags at the apartment which was really appreciated and meant we had even longer to visit the beautiful city of Porto. Would thoroughly recommend staying at the apartment to anyone and would definitely return to stay there if/when we revisit the city!

We got a little cold at night time but there is a heating/aircon unit within the aparment so it was probably us not working how to set it!

it was the perfect stay!! the location was nice. A somewhat residential area, but a short 10 minute walk from the city center. Great affordable food choices near by. The host family are so sweet and helpful with many suggestions.

Everything that I can think of was great!

The place is superb! Lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The host was welcoming and helpful and left port wine+ homemade cookies as perks. They are old local family who renovated their grandmother's place to rent. The neighborhood is nice and interesting, and the street is quiet, it's close to all the interesting points in Porto. One of the nicest flats I've seen

we loved the terrace and the garden. The apartment was very conveniently located but away from the hussle and bustle of the city.

There was some noise from the apartment next door.
