The host was very accommodating to our needs. On our first day, we arrived early and Miguel was kind enough to let us check-in early. The area is one of the best locations in Estoril, accessbile to what I was looking for.

Wat ons het meest beviel aan het appartement was dat het netjes en schoon was. Ook de centrale ligging vonden we erg prettig. Ondanks de horeca onder het appartement hadden we geen last van geluid, het was uitstekend geïsoleerd. De bedden en de slaapbank waren super comfortabel, ons kind heeft zonder problemen op de slaapbank geslapen. Ook vonden we het erg fijn dat we ietsje later mochten uitchecken.

Wat we minder prettig vonden, was dat er maar één stopcontact naast het bed was, dat bovendien in gebruik was voor het nachtlampje. Ook de keuken was aan de kleine kant. Daarnaast vonden we het jammer dat er geen gratis parkeerplaats in de buurt beschikbaar was. Verder was het een top appartement!

The location is ideal for everything we wanted - the beach, coastal train line, mini-market, bars and restaurants. It’s such a bonus that the area looks smart and sophisticated - the gardens and casino. An even bigger bonus is that it’s surprisingly a quiet area to walk around that feels safe at night. For example, a local festival of crafts and food, with early evening live music, took place in an enclosed area nearby the casino and it was over by 11pm each night. The apartment is modern: simply but stylishly furnished. The bed has the most comfortable mattress ever - zero disturbance when one person moves. It has soft, plump pillows too. The sofa is also very comfortable with a few bright cushions. Although the kitchen is tiny, it has all the necessary basics for self catering. The dining area is on the balcony. The bathroom is perfectly okay and has a great shower. It was good that cleaning products and equipment were available, plus an iron (no ironing board).

Just like in a hotel room, there’s nowhere to hide away luggage, plus damp towels and swimwear have to be hung off the balcony rails. We bought one chair for the beach which we left behind, hopefully to be made available for a future guest.

Het appartement was top. De communicatie met de eigenaar verliep vlot en hij reageerde snel. Halverwege ons verblijf vroeg hij of we nieuwe handdoeken nodig hadden en deze werden de volgende dag gebracht. De omgeving is levendig en rumoerig, voor ons geen probleem, de dubbele deuren van het balkon zorgen ervoor dat je rustig kunt slapen. Gelukkig hielden de bomen de meeste zon tegen want het was heet, dus de hele dag is het heerlijk op het balkon. Een lift, airco wij komen vast nog een terug.
